    I booked a car through Hertz at the Nanaimo airport location for a four day period over a long weekend. I booked the vehicle months in advance.

    The Budget employee sighed and said this was a typical scam they run. Cancel value priced bookings over long weekends and then rent out the same car to last minute bookings at 3x the price.

    Thank you for your excellent service. I had booked a midsize from another company and she tried to give me a pick up truck or I can upgrade to a 4x4 for $30day more. Hertz gave a mid size car for a better price. This office is run by husband and wife team so you know they will care about their customers.

    Some of the best customer service I have ever received. I came to Nanaimo for work and originally was booked with National. I got to the counter and the agent told me there was an issue with my booking and that I'd also have to put down a $1000 deposit, just a huge mess overall. So I went next door to Hertz to see what my other choices were. The husband and wife team were amazing. They did not have the car I was looking for ready to go, but went out of their way and cleaned one on the spot for me. They also price matched another company to save me some money and waived fees without me even asking. I was blown away. Don't even bother looking at the other two companies that operate at this airport. Go straight to these guys. Thank you Hertz!!

    I showed up to the Hertz location, family in tow, and sure enough Hertz had no car for me. And even more appalling was that they closed early and left myself and two other families on the same flight without cars! He literally turned off the lights early to avoid us.

    Husband and wife team always make sure we get the best price. Even when another company had a better price they matched it and added a discount on top. Highly recommend them to all our family and friends.

    Two days before my rental I got a call from the owner of the location on my cell telling me that my car would not be available as they had one car out which had been in an accident. I said that's not my problem, and further noted that they could simply get a replacement car from another Hertz location, all of which would be available with two full days notice. The owner got very annoyed very quickly and said that "he was doing me a favour by telling me that I wouldn't have a car, rather than me showing up to no car." He hung up. I called Hertz's corporate number. They assured me a car would be there. They had my reservation. There was no accident and it would be available. I had a bad feeling about the situation and booked a car with Budget for almost triple what I paid.
